Description: Northwest Orient Airlines, also simply known as Northwest Airlines, was a major USA based airline that ran from 1926 until it's merger in 2010 with Delta Airlines. Before it's merge, it was the sixth largest domestic airline in the states, the merge with Delta created the largest airline company in the world until three years later in 2013 when US Airways and American Airlines merged. If you flew with Northwest Orient Airlines you may have been treated to an in-flight meal, where you would have been given one of these stainless silver spoons to eat with. The flatware featured Northwest's logo on the front of the handle, with the branding information "Japan, abco N.Y." on the back. The logo on this specific stainless silver piece was used 1969-1986; in '86 "orient" was dropped from the company's name. This listing is for one Vintage Northwest Orient Airline Branded In-Flight Flatware Spoon, pictured above. The piece was made between the years of 1969-86, and distributed in the U.S.A. for domestic flights. The spoon is stainless steel, and was produced in Japan by abco N.Y. Shipping for all flatware is $5, if you purchase more than one I will package them together and refund the extra shipping eBay charges :)
