Description: For sale: A classic Nichols and Stone 1970's rocking chair in excellent condition. Purchased By me at Marshall Fields in Downtown Chicago. It is called a blanket rocker because of the slat at the back top where a blanket would be inserted for storing while not in use when rocking. The seat is wide and comfortable, and the rocker is a good height for sitting. The company closed its doors in 2008, after 151 years in the furniture business. We are downsizing and this lovely chair deserves a happy new home. It is from a smoke free and pet free environment.
