Description: This auction is for a BEAUTIFUL vintage Navajo sterling silver butterfly inlay turquoise, coral, mother of pearl and jet ring. It is a fabulous piece! It got stepped on shortly after I got it in 1974? and my art teacher was a silversmith so he tweaked it for me so I wouldn't lose the whole piece of jet in one of the butterfly wings. It's been like this since then and held up great! The other piece of jet has a crack at the pointed end. But None of the other stones were affected and that part of the wing where the jet is was the only true damage to this beauty! The other piece of jet had a hairline crack when I bought it I believe. It was never really noticeable until the other side was damaged. The extreme zoom photo where I drew the arrow to the damaged jet may seem to show other flaws but when you zoom in that tight and enlarge even the tinies vein etc blows up....there is NO damage other than what was described. As you can probably tell, I love this ring! I just don't wear jewelry any more so I'm selling some of my own collection now. This one is a beauty even with the piece of broken jet.
