Vintage Munising Wooden Bowl 9¼ in x 8½ in 1930's-40's Michigan Made Used VG

Description: Munising bowls are vintage wood bowls that were manufactured in Upper Peninsula, Michigan, by Munising Wood Products. The factory operated in its namesake town from 1911 to 1955. They’re made with maple or beech, and can be identified with a stamp of “Munising” on the bottom. Munising Woodenware Company began stamping all their wooden bowls on the bottom with “Munising” during the 1920s. Their wooden bowls made before that time were unmarked. During the late 1930s to early 1940s, they used a straight script that was left-leaning. From the mid-1940s through the 1950s, an arched script that included a registered mark under it was stamped on each bowl. This bowl dates from that middle period: mid-1940s through the 1950s. All bowls are slightly oval. this bowl is 9¼ in x 8½ in x 2 in depth. Clean, well cared for. Maple or Beech wood. I am slowly listing items that I have personally owned for over 40 years. There is a grease pencil marl of 1.50. Inner pages are very slightly discolored and are in very good condition. Book contains Four beautiful full page Illustrations.
