Description: This is a stunning vintage clamshell shaped platter or console bowl made by Mount Clemens Pottery. The surface of the bowl is ridged and is mainly glazed with gold but it is splashed with other deep rich accent colors. It measures approximately 1 3/4" high, 11 5/8" long and 11 5/8" wide. It's in very nice condition without chips or cracks. The Mount Clemens Pottery Company, opened in 1914 in Michigan, was for many years a major area employer. During World War II the company employed about 1,200 workers. They closed in 1986.
