Description: Vintage 12 3/8" round chop platter crafted at the Montana Earth Pottery studio in July, 2001. The potter's initial is incised on the platter but I can't quite make it out. This platter makes an excellent serving dish for hot or cold foods. It weighs 2 pound 10 ounces and is 2" deep. The vast Montana sky is rendered in a dark teal blue/green glaze with white clouds over snow capped mountains. In the foreground two moose confront each other silhouetted against a warm tan glaze. The entire piece was designed and executed in the studio from local clays and fired with original glazes. Bring some Big Sky Country into your home. I've also listed a pasta bowl and a dinner plate in this same line but with different animals. Happy to combine orders to save on shipping.
