ITEM DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a fabulous vintage, circa 1983, Mid Century Modern, signed, Kosta Boda (Sweden) art glass vase by Bertil Vallien in the "Tornado" Series with inlaid, multi-colored "confetti" particles and a textured, iridescent surface. Has the etched signature underneath that reads "Boda Artist... B. Vallien 4828...". Has the remnant of an old label on the top near the neck, but it is no longer legible. See next-to-last photo for a close-up. Measures 10 1/4" tall, and 5" across the widest part of the body. In excellent condition with no damage. No chips, cracks, sickness, or staining. It is a hand-crafted piece of glass, so there will be natural irregularities. The top rim/lip surface of the neck has a few small, shallow, indentations. See the last photo for a close-up. This is not damage, but merely a product of being a hand-blown piece of glass. There is even an iridescent sheen over these shallow indents.
