Description: The is a vintage (date unknown) menu from MOM'S ITALIAN VILLAGE RESTAURANT then located at 421 E. Cota Street, SANTA BARBARA CA. Note the entree prices! Veal Scaloppini for $4.25! Apparently, this location is presently occupied by the Santa Barbara Unified School District. The menu was intended to be a souvenir also; it folds into four sections and is made of heavy paper, almost cardboard like. Please see the photos for the various items displayed, including a street view of the building, and a history of the Signor family and the restaurant's growth. In information I found on another website, "apparently, in the 1940's Mom and Pop Signor took in service men, showing their WWII patriotism by feeding and housing the soldiers and service men in bungalows then on the property. Also, during this time there was a professional ball field located in the next block and Mom's was a regular pre-game and post-game stop for many. Mom's closed due to a series of events, including changing community demographics, the El Nino floods, and a Signor family tragedy which claimed the lives of Mom and Pop as well as a brother-in-law." This menu is in excellent condition; note the handwritten numbers on one of the inside pages, and a slight discolored area on the front address page. There are no bent corners, and it is otherwise pristine. Shipping is via ground advantage and includes insurance. FREE scheduling, supersized images and templates. Get Vendio Sales Manager.
