Description: Vintage MCM 1950’s Automatic Radio Wood Case AM Tube Clock Model CL-164 - Tested Clock and radio both work. Light behind radio dial lights. Radio is in good shape considering its age. Clock can be set and runs. There is an inner clock dial that also turns that sets the alarm time. The knob on the alarm set is a bit to loose for pulling out the lever. The shaft can be pulled out manually and the knob put back on to set alarm and the shaft pushed back in. I think the knob could be glued onto the shaft but I will leave that to the buyer to do. The alarm timer works but just takes a bit to come on as the tubes need to warm up. There is also a 60 minute sleep timer knob on the bottom of the dial that can be set to shut off the radio in a set number of minutes. See pictures for the condition of the finish. It is kind of a mahogany rosewood color. The cord looks original and is still in good shape. The schematic diagram is on the bottom of the unit for replacing any tubes that burn out in the future. Note that this is the original CL164, not the CL164B that has a different decorative grill. It looks to be the same as the CL175. The 164B is listed as 1952 so this one may be a few years older.
