Description: Vintage Chalkware Lion Bank: 'Standing King of the Jungle' Lion with Mane and Tail Created in Vibrant Colors with Detailed Features by JAPAN Pride Creations, Circa 1960s. Such banks were sometimes found as carnival game prizes at County Fairs in the USA. The bank is hand painted with a mottled orange color to give the lion’s coat texture; the facial expression on this lion is adorable. The bank is approximately 8 inches in length and includes the ‘original' black rubber plug. As with most chalkware there are several small chips throughout.
