Description: Vintage urn made of copper and brass. The spigot handles and the knob on top of the lid are wood; the sides and lid are copper, and the spigots, the decorative band above the legs, and the thin rods around the glass tubes on the front, are all solid brass or brass plated. Gorgeous color and tons of character. This would be an amazing decorative item for a coffee shop or restaurant, maybe in a front window or behind the counter in a back bar area. Guaranteed to turn heads! I believe this size of a coffee urn would have been used in a restaurant and would have had some type of heat element or burner beneath it to keep it warm. I saw a very similar one listed that had a ceramic insert but this one does not, there are hard water stains on the inside so perhaps this one was a different design (maybe it just held hot water?). The urn is 38 1/2 inches tall to the top. It is 14 3/4 inches across at the top and the bottom of the lid is slightly smaller at 14 inches. The legs are 4 3/4 inches tall. The urn at this point is decorative, it does not hold water. In the hands of a professional, it might be able to be restored but I don't know for sure. The urn has damage and wear from use over the years. The lid has dents and dings, mostly on the handle on top. The rim at the top has been bent and repaired in a few areas and has a wrinkled surface. One of the handles has also been bent and then bent back into place, so it has a similar wrinkled surface. The sides of the urn have some scratches and scuffs, and some stains/corrosion. Above the spigots, there are two glass tubes that are not original. I have one glass tube that may be original, and it has a greenish tint - I will include this in case you want to try to match it. The replacement tubes are 12 inches long which is shorter than the original - to extend them, I added two pieces of cork to the bottom of where the tubes sit; these are easily removed. The spigot handles move freely. The feet of the urn are steel that has been painted a copper color. The decorative band above the feet has damage at the back where there is a seam and there is a Philipps screw at the top. The bottom of the urn, the underside of the lid, and the inside have not been cleaned or polished. Overall, please see pictures for complete details and let me know if you have questions.
