He kept cash in it for a rainy day. He personally purchased it in Portugal in around 1938! It’s about as perfect an example as I’ve ever seen. It looks brand new not a hundred years old! The Brass is perfect, aside from a tiny dent or two. The cedar lining still smells wonderful and the shine is off the charts. You will not find a better nor more complete example of this tin.
