Description: Vintage JEAN PIERRE LEPINE Ballpoint Pen Made in Paris France TORTISE SHELL FauxThis eBay listing is for a gently used Jean Pierre Lepine ballpoint pen that comes as you see pictured in the listing and noted above. This pen was made in Paris, France and has a faux tortise shell design with gold toned accents and clip. The pen measures 5.5" long and does write in blue ink. PLEASE NOTE - I just tested the pen out and it writes just fine however, I have NO clue on how to keep the tip out of the pen. I can twist the lower section of the pen and the tip comes out just fine but as soon as I let go of the bottom section, it goes back inside the body of the pen. I'm guessing there is a TRICK to getting this to say in the out position and again to retract it back inside again but I have no clue. I checked on Youtube for a reference video but all the videos there were about this companies fountain pens and not ballpoint pens. I took the pen apart so that you can see what is inside (which is pretty much just the ink tube insert). If you happen to know the trick to this pen, can you please reach out to me and let me know!! I also noticed when taking the pictures that there felt like a chip in the upper section of the pen, about 3/4" above the word PARIS in the center gold toned band.
