Description: Vintage Japanese Wooden Sake Cask bound with woven bamboo strips. Measurements are 13 1/2" high with a 15" diameter. The cask is in good condition with a few scratches. Exact age is unknown. It was purchased by seller in Japan in the early 1970s. Makes a great conversation piece. The small kanji on the front is translated by Google Lens as "Kanda City Bakushinke, Fukuizumi Sake Forestry Company". Kanda City and Fukuizumi seem legitimate names. The remainder can not be confirmed by seller. There is also a single Kanji character imprinted on the bottom that translates to "wave" by Google Lens. This is all good for a friendly discussion. Please carefully review the photos to ensure that this item meets with your expectations.
