Description: Vintage Jac-o-Net Hair Net Invisible Nylon Dura Finish - No. 156 Light Brown* I found this item going through my grandmother's things - A Jac-o-net envelope with 2 hair nets*. The envelope was folded when I found it. I tried to flatten somewhat prior to listing. The envelope shows age and has several stains on front which bled through to inside along with fold creases and edge wear. It measures approx. 5.5" x 4.5". There are 2 nets inside - *one is definitely lighter than the other which means one did not originally come in this envelope. The lighter one was bunched up in a tissue paper. Due to the age of the item, I did not tried to open up nets for fear of possibly damaging them. I do not know their condition. The appeal of this item is the envelope itself - the advertising / print, etc. I do not know when this was from but I would think the 1940's but I’m not sure. There is no date that I can find. The front of the envelope has the following print - Regular size with elastic French type tiny mesh / Nylon / Light Brown along the very top. Underneath is No. 156 and 10 cents at the corners. Centered is the name Jac-o-net above a picture of a beautiful woman. Beneath the picture is written in script - Hair Net. Additional remarks of Run Resistant / Dura Finish / Invisible / Durable adorn the front. On the back side of the envelope, the edges are distinctly marked in red. At the top it has - Your Best Bet ... Jac-o-net. The truly invisible hair net / fits any hair style. Below this is an image of the US with net has HairNet Corporation of America New York .10. On the bottom half, it has the price circled and below that is a box with - Guarantee This net is expertly shaped and carefully inspected. It is guaranteed to be perfect. When the flap is lifted, the color information is shown - Light Brown No. 156. In very small writing in bottom left corner is the number 503 and at the bottom edge has Litho in USA The advertising and wording is what makes this item so cool plus - it is also simply awesome for something like this to have survived 70+ yrs. I figure these were used by my grandmother and her sisters who shared many things. :) If you have any questions or need additional pics, please let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you. Shipping will occur within three business days after payment clears. I try to use repurposed packaging. All shipments are sent with tracking information. Sorry - No international shipments. Over the past couple of years, I have been tasked with going through my parent's and grandparent's possessions - two separate households with items spanning their whole lives. This has been a long, arduous process and will take many years to complete. I will be listing a variety of items - some of which I know the story behind and others I simply haven’t a clue! With each and every item, I try to supply as much detail as I can whether it is from my recollection / memories, internet research, or by matching it up with other pieces I have found. Each item tells a story for which I am grateful to now be able to document as a way of keeping some of the history of my family which is now gone. I wish I could keep a lot of it but I haven't the room. I will do my absolute best to describe the item as I can. If I overlook a defect or if for some reason you feel that the item is not as described, please let me know. I will do my best to make things right! Thank you in advance for helping me with this overwhelming task.
