Description: Vintage J. Chein No. 275 Mechanical Roller Coaster. Tin litho mechanical wind-up toy with two cars and box. The bell is blue. This classic J. Chein wind-up toy features lithographed carnival/fair scenes including the side show, the hot dog stand, the salt water taffy stand, the shooting gallery, the play baby game, and the entrance to the roller coaster. Images of fair attendees, carnival barkers, side show attractions and more provide an evocative scene. Each car features lithographed images of four children riding the roller coaster. J. Chein's sales offices were in New York while this toy was manufactured at the company's factory in Burlington, NJ. Size: Toy is approximately 19" long x 9 1/4" tall x 9" wide. Box is approximately 20" x 10" x 10 3/4". Nice overall condition. Vibrant colors. Some wear and scratches from play and age. Elastic has been stretched so we are uncertain about the pulling capacity.
