Description: This set includes two vintage Athearn 40' box cars likely manufactured in the 1970s. They both have plastic trucks with plastic wheels and metal axles and springs. The bottom metal plates has been polished and oiled, the trucks and wheels were cleaned and oiled, and the couplers have been replaced.Car 1: North American, Hormel, N.A.D.S. 3521 with vibrant colors on both faces of the car and in very good condition.Car 2: American Refrigerator Transit Co. 36016 with vibrant colors on one face and slightly faded colors on the other face in very good condition otherwise.All couplers, brake wheels, and hinged lids are intact, though the small clips to old down the hinged lids are all broken, which is common for this model. Despite this minor issue, the cars are well-maintained and display beautifully. Please review the pictures carefully before you buy to make sure you know what you are getting. I have displayed pictures at all angles. I have also included a number tag below each train so you can understand what each train looks like.
