Description: THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! This listing is for a vintage Bb tenor saxophone mouthpiece. There is no brand name on it, but the shape of the shank suggests that it might be of either Martin or King origin. This mouthpiece most likely dates to the 1920's, or 30's. The design is typical of that era. It has a very large round chamber, and deeply scooped inner side walls. It is stamped "2" on the table, and the tip opening measures in at .067". For reference, that is equal to a Selmer "C". This mouthpiece is made of hard rubber, not plastic. This mouthpiece is in excellent used condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth. It has not been refaced or otherwise altered. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There is a swath of ligature scratching/scuffing on the exterior, but this in no way affects how it plays. The rubber is still black and shiny. It has been cleaned/sanitized. Please feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks again for looking! 5-14-24-5
