Description: Vintage Handmade Gilt Brass Grapevine Birds Nest Basket with Speckled Birds Eggs This quaint and sturdy - yet delicate-looking - basket was handmade with brass wire and sheet brass (for the leaves), gilt in sections with gold paint. The white grapes were made from resin. The speckled birds eggs, which you can obviously keep or discard (to display something else should you choose), are made of plastic. This is a rare one-of-a-kind find, and a lovely accessory to any home. It belonged to my late mother who loved to decorate her home with nice things. Basket Dimensions:Diameter (of basket proper, not including leaves and tendrils hanging over: 5-1/2 in.Height: 2 in. Eggs: Approximately 3/4" in length. Condition: Pre-owned. One owner.
