Description: We are pleased to offer for your consideration absolutely gorgeous Vintage TOBY TALL MUG PITCHER Pitcher that depicts the character Sinbad The Sailor. Features Sinbad character seated on a small canon holding a sword, with a parrot on his shoulder. The pitcher has beautiful colors and high gloss finish. The bottom is marked with the Underglaze Impressed SINBAD and boasts a very rare Coat of Arms Blue Pottery mark with the Staffordshire Pretzel ( Staffer Knot) on the top and Lion & Griffin (Gryphon) by the sides. The Griffin is associated with Yorkshire more than Stoke (Rockingham or others). Most likely the mark belongs to a small, short-lived company possibly Anglo-American. A small Staffordshire firm exporting specific wares to America via a retail customer or distributor perhaps.
