Description: This is a Vintage Primitive, Hand Carved Wooden Guatemalan Mask of Tecun Uman, w/ a Quetzal bird on each side. This mask is perfect for anyone who appreciates the beauty of Guatemalan culture and wants to add a unique piece to their collection. In the 2nd pic, I just realized it has shadows that are making it look like eyeballs peering out!!! It makes it look totally different from the first pic! Like it has a different overall expression because of those 'eyes' lol. I can't figure how that only happened in that one pic when the same camera and lighting was used for all the pics and on the other mask I just listed as well, which it did not happen with. So ummm...yeah...interesting mask. :/ lol It measures 10" long x 7.0" wide and is about 2.25" deep. You can see the knife / chisel marks on the inside from when it was carved. It is in fantastic condition. This came from the estate of an antique dealer/collector and I also have another mask that was also hers, that I will be listing-check my store! These were both from her personal collection.
