Encouraged by a professor, she began making ceramics out of her garage in 1942. Within seven years demand for her pieces was so strong Florence Ceramics was operating a large factory in Pasadena. The company produced a selection of home products but is best known for the Florence Collection - authentic, detailed reproductions of historical and fictional characters. - Marked 'Florence Ceramics Pasadena California' on base with 'Camille' inscribed on the base - Excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
