Vintage Excellent 60s DOBBS Beaver 10 Gray Fedora 7-1/2

Description: Excellent True Vintage very late 1960s , Beaver Ten, Gray Fedora, Size 7-1/2. This is a True Vintage Beaver Ten! It’s soft and thick beaver!The Leather Sweatband is completely and securely attached and still soft and pliable.It’s not anything like any newer Beaver Ten but a True Vintage Beaver Ten! It’s extremely soft and pliable!You can see that this is a very very late 1960s, by the liner and there is not plastic overlay. We don’t know why Dobbs reverted back to no plastic overlay other than Dobbs was having a hard time at that time period because hats were not as popular and they wanted to save money. If anyone out there has better information please write to us.This is a Gray color and the picture of the whole underside best reflects the actual color.The pictures of the whole underside is the best representation of the actual color, still not perfect but the closest we could get. All the others are coming out to light. We just don’t know why it’s coming out that way in the pictures? Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?This is out of Son’s hat collection. Dad and Grandson tried to brush it off to clean it but there was NOTHING to clean! It’s near pristine!Just so you know the leather sweatband is completely and securely attached all the way around! The leather has NO breaks, chips or cracks! The liner is completely attached and still very clean! We took out Dad’s own collection of Knox Beaver hats: Ten, Fifteen, Twenty and TwentyFive. And this is a perfect match of the Beaver Ten. It’s so easily steam shaped and hold that shape until it’s steamed again. But it’s so beautiful this way we are leaving it as is. If you wanted just a simple center dent ( you can the do your own hand bashing) you can write to us and ask Dad to reshape it. The best way really to determine the Beaver quality is when steam shaping a hat. When you touching and feeling how soft, thick and pliable it really is.The perfect teardrop crown is all original to this hat! And the dip on the front brim is perfect. It can easily be flipped into the up position but currently is has been steamed with a front dip. If you’d like it steamed into the flipped up position pleasee write to ask and we will get that done for you.With a coat trolley string is you’d like? Read below and write to us if you’d like it? This can be left as just a decoration or actually any decent tailor can sew it on. It’s very elastic and has plenty of length to have it sewn to the hat or just trim off the end of the elastic string if you just want it for a decoration?
