Description: Vintage Ellis Briggs 23.5" / 59cm 531 Reynolds Steel Touring Road Bike Frame & Fork Vintage Ellis Briggs English 23.5" Racing Tour Road Bike Frame and Fork. Ellis Briggs is a British bicycle manufacturer and shop, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, England. It is the oldest bicycle shop in the Bradford area still in business today. Ellis Briggs have produced lightweight bicycles since 1936 and still produce bespoke machines today. This Frame set has Amazing lugs and cool roller cable guides that show the Passion & Craftsmanship of a Ellis Briggs Machine. She has seen some use and has some repairs and tells a story of a long life. I suspect the bike to be late 1960s or early 1970s. It is made of Reynolds 531 Steel Tubing and has Campagnolo Drop Outs. Size: Seat tube 58cm Center to Center or 59.5cm Center to Top with a 57cm center to center top tube with a 160mm head tube. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 120mm Rear Spacing for 5 speed freewheel hubs. Frame & Fork ++ is British / ISO Standard. Frame set is used, very used but very cool also, ornate lugs with cool colors, has paint & decal loss, some rust, derailleur dropout was repaired, has scratches, fading, touch up, possible small ping dents, shows wear, dropout adjusters are not clear as pieces are still in there, and the head and seat tube decals are new. Plenty of Pictures to mull over. Serial number is 41xx. Whats shown weighs a tad over 5 1/2 pounds. This frame Set had racing 27" wheels, Not Included but for wheel size reference.
