Description: Very heavy vintage glass double ink well and pen holder (and paper weight) which weighs 2lb 4oz. This lovely piece is 6.75" wide x 5.5" deep x 1 5/8" high. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or stains. The are a couple of imperfections in the glass from manufacturing. The double wells (pots not included) have slots for nibbed pens to stand upright in the ink. There are three grooved slots for additional pens and three spaces for postage stamps. The reverse RH inkwell has engraved in it "May 03 1911" ,"Gen Pat No 15154" and "Made in USA". Could May 03 1911 be the date of manufacture? I cannot guarantee either way...it could be the date of the patent.
