Description: Vintage 90's Control Tech Titanium Red Anodized Bolt On Skewers. There are scratches and wear from use. Threads are good and these are in good usable condition. Weight is 48 grams for the pair with springs. Please check out all of the photos. Note that photos are mixed...some taken before wiping the skewers down and some after. Very important to note...since I cleaned/wiped them down for posting...to remember ti-prep must be reapplied to the titanium axles before use to prevent gauling. Buyer will receive the Control Tech bolt on skewers pictured above as well as the Vintage Control Tech sticker. ***Please remember that since these axles are titanium you must remember to use ti-prep. This will keep the aluminum and titanium surfaces from gauling and prevent any seizing up of the two different materials.These were designed to work with standard 100mm front and 130/135mm rear hubs. Please understand if you are trying to use these with an oddly overspaced hub or extra thick frame dropouts then you'll have to take that into account before using. ***Update to listing*** Someone asked about the materials. So I'm adding the info to the listing. Skewer rods are titanium, springs are steel (they have never rusted so possibly stainless) and the anodized end caps are aluminum.
