Description: Vintage Bostonian Wooden Shoe Shine Shine Valet Box & Polish Brushes Circa 1950s. Wooden box features "box or finger" corner joints. The box has solid brass hinges and latch, as well as brass feet. The shoe shine box dates back to the 1950s and has a Bostonian metal tag on the front of the box. The shoe rest on the top of the shoe box is attached with round wooden pegs. Included with the box are two used Bostonian brand shoe polish brushes and a few shoe polish jars probably dried out and/or empty that have the Bostonian labels on them. Please see all the photos for details and condition. Bostonian shoe company was founded in the 1800s in Massachusetts. It sold quality leather shoes and boots to much of the New England states through most of the 20th century. Bostonian had a well earned reputation for quality footwear made in America.
