Vintage BARBIE REPRO ENCHANTED EVENING in RICH GLITTERY MAUVE w ACCESSORIES

Description: I am pleased to offer this unique OOAK spin on Mattel's lovely Enchanted Evening gown. This 1990s REPRODUCTION gown was in nice condition but nothing super special, so I decided to give it new life by transforming it to great color for fall -- a rich mauve. I love the color -- however, it came out uneven in the inch near the hem (plus one spot higher on the train near the leg-wrapping skirt). Always a risk with this polyester. What to do? I embellished it into a striking vision -- Barbie ready for the ball -- or state dinner! A thin mulitcolored glitter layer across the bottom inch of the train (darkened satin) is decorated with thin lines of silver and ruby and starry dots of sapphire blue all across the front to about a inch past the fold on the right side (tapers down to hem there, most of back hem is plain). The bottom of the skirt and the neckline have just the thin glitter layer. At the hip, I added sapphire and taupe satin roses with glittery centers. I noticed after taking pics that the bodice has a soft wrinkle across it -- I now have steamed that mostly out but might or might not lay flat depending on how buxom your doll is. I will include this lush real fur stole that I made from a vintage 1950s-60s remnant -- I think it is mink, not positive. Sewn in a loop so it slips over your doll's head. I left the original brown satin lining but had a heck of a time sewing it to the lower edge of the hide -- the stitching there is pretty crude. Luckily, snugged into position, it makes a beautiful display! I also will include this necklace I made -- rose gold chain with lobster clasp in back, sapphire blue rhinestone drop (you will have to fuss a little to get the stone facing forward). Finally, I will include these Korea-marked bright blue open toe heels -- no splits -- embellished with silver glitter. Note -- These old shoes are prone to splitting and the glitter glue helps prevent (or at least disguise) a split. You will receive the gown, stole, necklace, and shoes.
