It is a stunning radio capturing the essence of the 1940s Art Deco era!! The radio has been painted in two tone black and white. Some of the paint has been scratched on the back and side as seen in the photos. The see through top dial cover has 2 corner broken chips on volume control side as seen in the photos. The "1946 Crosley Model 56-TD" Tube Radio is an AC operated Super-Heterodyne AM broadcast designed tube radio with 5 tested vacuum tubes: 12SA7, 12SK7, 12SQ7, 50L6GT, 35Z5GT Dimensions 12" x 7" x 5" (L x W x H) Mid-Century molded plastic painted black and white body. Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil) / Ø 4 inch. All vacuum tubes have been tested and replaced as needed. Power cord has been replaced and is brand new. Knobs are all original and perfectly clean in great functional shape. Back plate missing but aftermarket reproductions are available. NOTE: All vacuum tube radios take 30 to 60 seconds before hearing broadcast sound as the tubes warm up. Be patient when first turning on these antique radios.
