This model was seen as one of the best divers you could find in the 1960s, thanks to its impressive water resistance and inner rotating bezel activated directly by the crown. The crown was also used to wind the watch, so if you wanted to both wind the watch and set the bezel, you would need to wind it first and then set..Because of the desirability, these models were sold in specialized dive shops. Priced lower than Rolex and Tudor, the 63 became a bestseller and was known for its practicality.
