I'm listing other Lockwood "Cairo" sets in my store, so check them out, too A fabulous set; so ornate and pretty! It's very hard to find these in such good condition anymore. And, all cleaned up....so you don't have to. All the hard work has been done for you; unlike so many others listed elsewhere that come to you with dents, dings, cracks, holes, paint, crud, old polish, green spots, rust/corrosion, missing parts etc. Many are so rusty you cannot even take the knobs off the spindles (I know from experience!) Who wants that? These are "red flags" you should consider when looking for antique door hardware. I don't sell junk. This set will be ready to install when you receive it. Cleaned and sealed to prevent corrosion. They'll add a nice decorative touch to even a plain, simple door and are ready for many more years of service! Even tho they are over 100 years old, I consider them to be in very good to excellent vintage condition. As with all old, antique, vintage and pre-owned items, these exhibit some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish and/or other minor imperfections etc, which is considered normal. Patina and finish may vary from piece to piece. Very old, I consider them to be in fair to good vintage condition, consistent with age and use; taken off old doors, but don’t just take my word for it, YOU be the judge. My opinion of the condition may be different than yours. Lots of pictures to get a good look; review them all carefully as they are a large part of the listing, then ask all the questions you want and ask them NOW so you have all your answers BEFORE purchase. I always encourage questions BEFORE buying if you are unsure of anything, anything at all, no matter how minor. I encourage questions so DON’T BE SHY !! I am even giving you my phone number! Ask questions now, before purchase to avoid any disappointment! This beautiful vintage hardware will make your door look special, but remember.... I AM NO EXPERT ON THESE AND DON'T CLAIM TO BE. I DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THEM. YOU MAY KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE THAN I DO. PERHAPS I MISSED SOMETHING, I AM ONLY HUMAN. PLEASE DON’T ASSUME ANYTHING AND ASK QUESTIONS; I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE. AGAIN, PLEASE RE-READ THE LISTING DETAILS, REVIEW ALL THE PICTURES AND ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING. WHILE MY GOAL IS TO MAKE YOU A HAPPY CUSTOMER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSESS THE SUITABILITY OF THIS ITEM. LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS AND LISTING DETAILS INCLUDING MEASUREMENTS/DIMENSIONS ETC TO ENSURE THEY FIT YOUR NEEDS BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING. Age, from research, is believed to be accurate but is not guaranteed. Actual age unknown. Please do your own due diligence if this is a concern. All measurements approximate. If spindle length is important, message me. Again, these are old pieces, coming from homes well over 100 years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear. I’ll do my best to see that you are not disappointed but be sure all your questions have been answered prior to bidding or purchase because, like all my items, these are SELLING AS IS; ALL SALES FINAL, NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. These oldies were originally used with a mortise lock that was “mortised” (slipped) into the edge of the door, but a "tube latch" will work on modern doors. I can provide either tube latch or mortise lock (with proper key), for additional cost. If you need special shipping features such as signing on delivery etc, please contact me before payment as this will increase the shipping cost. THANK YOU for your interest in my Listings! And be sure to check out all the other door hardware listings I am offering. There's something for everyone. One final note: I personally examine everything I list and describe it to the best of my ability, with my (sometimes) limited knowledge about the item(s). I’m selling antiques and what I see as ‘normal aging’, someone else may see as a flaw. It is not possible to point out every detail on every item. If you are unclear about quality, age or condition of any of our items, PLEASE ASK QUESTION BEFORE BUYING. I am a GREEN Seller, so I reuse boxes and packing materials whenever possible. Please help me reuse and recycle! warehouse 2 524:801
