Vintage Antique 1940s LARGE! High Quality Crystal Chandelier

Description: I’m very excited to offer this fabulous, DAZZLING 1940s crystal chandelier! WOW! Of special note are the abundant varying wheel-cut designs in this chandelier - they’re absolutely gorgeous. The crystal prisms are all original and quite uniquely shaped. A handful of them do sport tiny flakes, but none of them have any notable or egregious chips or losses. I love the hand formed and wheel cut crystal curly-cues that grow from the center cluster from between each arm. That they are original and intact is very rare. Each holds a molded glass (yes, glass!) ring and a trail of additional crystals - incredible! Each bobeche and component of the stem are deeply molded and richly cut. Nice! On the whole, this piece is in absolutely incredible condition, but it is not free of flaws, being 80 years old. The upper rims of the bobeche under each of the candles have suffered a minuscule flea bite here and there, as well as has the bottom-most bowl piece that surrounds the crystal ball finial at the bottom. The large glass bowl beneath the wire cluster cover is very subtly scratched on its inside surface, likely from being cleaned too abrasively at one point. Lit, all of these noted details fade away entirely. It shows VERY well. The sockets and wiring are all new. The vertical wire through the chain is cloth covered like the original was. The chain and mounting hardware are all new, and compatible with a modern junction box. The spun aluminum canopy is also original, and in very good condition. If you have a house built in the 1940s or early 1950s, this fixture might be the perfect, glamorous finishing touch to a period correct room! This chandelier measures about 39 inches long as is. This can be adjusted up or down if need be - just let me know! At an impressive 22 inches wide, this fixture is well suited to a (on the bigger side of) medium sized room. It would be stunning over a dining table or in a large foyer. !!!***NOTE***!!! This piece is made nearly entirely of glass. It is delicate - very, very delicate. There is absolutely no way it would survive being shipped fully assembled. It would arrive on your doorstep completely smashed to bits if I attempted to ship it intact. This being said, it will be shipped nearly completely disassembled. Each piece of the stem will be removed and individually wrapped. The central wire connections will be undone and each arm will be individually wrapped. All the crystals will be removed and bagged. Please keep in mind that while the fixture itself will be easy to reassemble, it may be necessary for an electrician to be called in to re-connect the wires before it would be able to be installed if you are not comfortable to do this yourself.
