Description: Vintage Album 1950s Scrapbook with Print And Paper Cutouts Ephemera. This item is a one of a kind ephemera scrapbook. Tucked inside a “3 buddies” scrapbook cover, the inside has 26 pages with incredible pics from the time frame 1954-1957, and pics were applied front and back on each page. The pics and articles feature movie stars, singers, actors and beauty contestants of that time period. The majority of pic’s/articles are hand dated by year, month and day. Most inserts are from newspapers. There are 26 pages total. Pics are placed on both front and back of each page. There are 21 pages with colored pics and 31 pages of black and white pics. There are 6 pages where the pic’s/articles were glued a little to close to the edge and the paper has curled (see pics). There are articles to read with most pics. I would say that approximately half the scrapbook is all about queens and beauty pageants and the second half is about actors, singers, other well know people of that era and their lives. The paper quality has been preserved pretty well for it’s age. There is yellowing, but it does not appear to be brittle. It appears that glue was used to adhere the paper pics to the scrapbook pages, and a few areas, the pics lift easily. I did not put any new glue or tape on the loose pics. The cover front and back are in fairly good condition. The scrapbook has a spiral metal binding which has let loose from the pages the last 1/2” from lower left corner. This does not affect the pages being turned. All in all it is a very interesting collection of pics and articles about ‘well known people’ of that age period!
