Description: HAND COILED AND PAINTED AND HIGHLY DETAILED MIMBRES DESIGN LADLE FORM POT. A FINELY DETAILED DESIGN THAT IS FIRED IN THE TRADITIONAL WAY AND HAND PAINTED WITH A YUCCA BRUSH. Anita Garcia Lowden ( 1930-1970) was a daughter of Jessie Garcia and sister of Stella Shutiva. She was one of the earlier Acoma Pueblo potters to use Mimbres designs and passed away at a relatively young age. Her pottery was coil-built, painted with bee-weed (black) and clay slips, and traditionally fired. Much of her work was inspired in the revival of designs from Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde, and other ancient locations. This will look great in any pottery display from ADVANCED through MUSEUM GRADE and it has a LOW PRICE ! Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
