Description: Vintage Electric Metal 9" Swag Lantern with Faux Stained Glass & Chain for Hanging or Table topThis is a beautiful old lantern with working electric cord and bulb. (Not known how much life the bulb has left in it.) Regular (not mini) Christmas light bulbs fit into the socket. The lantern is metal, perhaps iron, as it is magnetic. Traditionally shaped, there are 3 sides to it, with faux stained glass that is quite pretty when the light shines through, as shown. The panels of "glass" are actually melted plastic pieces, quite interesting. This is likely from the 1950's or some time in the mid-century, as evidenced by the electric cord. There are no wires showing, and the on/off switch works as expected. As with any old electrical item, use with caution. The lantern with cord and chains weighs 1 lb., 4 oz. The metal was painted black and has scuffs and wear, adding to the aged patina. The chain is approximately 52 inches long when stretched and when both chains are attached to one another.
