Description: This vintage 50s dress is a beautiful fit and flare circle skirt shirt dress that is perfect for any occasion. You can barely tell it, but this dress is black, white and the darkest navy blue, only apparent as you focus in on the faceted deep blue buttons that adorn the front. This beauty buttons all the way up and has a very interesting and versatile neckline. There are many tiny snaps that make it so that it closes asymmetrically at the neck (I suspect these were added later, as the stitching is visible on the front of the dress. They can easily be removed with a seam ripper), and there are two slits where a tie once resided. It has been replaced with this lovely velvet ribbon I’ve added. It also has two wider belt loops that once held a matching belt, in the photos I’ve added a thinner one than which was likely there before. Either way, you can choose the look by adding your own belt or not using one at all. Of course, you are also welcome to the belt in the photo, for it will be included. There is roundness to the sleeves, so they wear casually but beautifully. There are two little shoulder pads in there. The sleeves and pockets on this lady are perfectly executed and add tons more interest to this unique dress. I added a crinoline for photos, which is not included. The sweep on this dress is a whopping 88”!!! So, a nice full crinoline would make this Fred even more amazing. When I look at this dress, I swear I’ve seen Lucy, Donna, and June wear such similar dresses. It’s so fabulous! Don’t pass it up if its your size! I wouldn’t!
