Description: Vintage 1986 Signed bird decoy. On the bottom it says "The Tidewater Trader of Old Apalachicola 1986". Apalachicol is in Florida's panhandle. The bird looks like a sanderling, a common shorebird that runs along the water's edge on beaches in Florida. THe bird is wood and the eye looks to be glass. The tail is squared off (the sanderling tail does end where the wing tips end, so this looks pretty realistic). The artist has signed it but it is hard to decipher who the artist is. The first name might be "James" and the last name might begin with "FL". Free shipping in the USA.
