Description: Bottecchia is a very traditional company which started as the small cyclery of Carnielli and was improved in 1924 by Ottavio Bottecchia, the first Italian Tour de France winner (1924, 1925). A new company with a new name “Bottecchia” was born after the mysterious and tragic death of Ottavio Bottecchia in 1926. The bicycles they produced were high end pieces which carried numerous champions to victory. The bike we present here is pretty much one of the classic builds from the early 1980s. It is built from light and strong Columbus tubing. As for the parts it is equipped with a complete Campagnolo groupset. This bike really is a beautiful exemplar of high tech steel framing with a classic design. A wonderful ride for long weekend trips and, of course, perfectly fit for a L'Eroica ride. Item Specs: Made in Italy, this classic Bottecchia 12 speed road bike is built with strong brazed steel frame tubes & comes with Koshi [titanium rails] saddle & full Campagnolo. She's sturdy, tuned, & ready to ride around town or down the bike path. New tape, inner tubes and Tires. Frame is XL 64cm.
