Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - Although the FE 3611 automatic movement runs strong it loses about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 43 hour power reserve period. After winding the crown it's necessary to gently spin the watch face down on a soft, flat surface in order to jump-start the seconds hand. Additionally, the movement is a loose and or the oscillating weight is loose as a slight sound is made when the watch is turned upside down and then back upright. Lastly, the brassed replacement crown does not screw down. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Utina has a unique brown wood dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The red lume on the hour and minute hands, which does not glow, is likely not original. The black and red bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely. The beautifully cut all stainless steel case shows considerable wear with signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE WATERPROOF INCABLOC AUTOMATIC" with "20 ATMOS" stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced. The 17 jewels FE 3611 automatic movement with semi-quickset date function runs strong, albeit a bit slow, and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The movement is loose and or the oscillating weight is loose as a slight sound is made when the watch is turned upside down and then back upright. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 19.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement lost about 3 minutes by the end of its approximate 43 hour power reserve period. After winding the crown it's necessary to gently spin the watch face down on a soft, flat surface in order to jump-start the seconds hand. While the brassed replacement crown does not screw down it winds buttery smooth. This watch originally came with a stainless steel screwdown crown. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Given the issues mentioned at a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
