Description: It is a 1964 Gibson SG Standard with original case, serial number #178505. I bought it from two brothers that were in a band in Dallas around 1995. I played it and one day the strap slipped and it dropped and the neck cracked at the headstock. I put the guitar back in the original case and that is where it stayed for years. Around 2014 I brought the guitar to Tone Shop guitars in Dallas and they told me a luthier, that was considered one of the best in Texas, could replace the neck. So I paid him and he made a complete new neck and headstock with the original Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and gibson name and tuners all of it, even stamped the serial number on the back of the new headstock. The guitar is now a much better playing guitar. I had the wire to jack replaced with vintage wire so it does not buzz or distort like it was with wire just hanging on by a thread. I have the original case along with the orginal neck and headstock with serial number that all will be shipped with the guitar. It has one PAF pickup and the other pickup is 2.737.842. From my research the market value today of just these two PAF pickups alone is $5,000, let alone this is a 60 year old Gibson guitar. With the new neck this a great playing guitar with the real PAF (Patent Applied For) classic tone.
