Vintage 1961-65 #989 Barbie "Ballerina" - Tu-Tu Wonderful to Pass Up!

Description: You are viewing a vintage #989 Mattel “Ballerina” outfit which was manufactured for Barbie from 1961-65. The only missing piece is the pink shoe bag. All other pieces are original and in great shape. The tutu… which is the star attraction is very clean, crisp, and “poofy”. There are 4 flowers of various colors attached to the skirt. The bodice and panty of the tutu are in wonderful shape. Barbie brand tag is firmly attached and there are no problems with the zipper. The ballerina slippers are a creamy white with their ties intact. The paper program is almost perfect. Still terrific graphics. There is a silver ballerina crown with some marks where bending was apparent to place on her head. Photos reflect this. The black leotard and tights are in great condition too. No holes or tears. And those pieces will go well with so many other Barbie ensembles. I would imagine they would be perfect with the gray skirt from the “Sweater Girl” collection. Part of our family collection, this outfit comes from a smoke free home. There have been no repairs or alterations.
