Description: Vintage 1960's TOURIST MAP OF LENINGRAD / ST. PETERSBURG. Published in the USSR. Very good+ condition. Excellent color, creased only at original fold lines, no pin holes. Slight age yellowing, particularly on back. Two very light pencil notations marking the Sea Passenger Port, and the Winter Palace. Name of local contact from Leningrad University, Kim Alexanderovich Burkov, also written in blue pen on the back (see photo). Map intended for use by English-speaking tourists, and includes legend listing museums, theatres, palaces and monuments, and hotels. Measures 20.5" high x 16" wide. Ideal for framing.
