Vintage 1960's Calrad DM-16 H.L dynamic microphone w accessories Olson Monarch

You are looking at a unique 1960's Calrad model DM-16 H.L dynamic microphone made with an all metal body and polished chrome finish that closely resembled the classic Astatic 77A model mic. This mic comes with a mic pouch and original mic cable in which to operate. It should be noted right away that the mic is 100% complete and works perfectly. This mic is currently set at high impedance though it's a dual Z mic. This will make a great harp mic or for use with a HAM radio set up. You can also use this for general broadcasting or singing if you want and old school "rockabilly" tone. You'll get a different tone however depending on where you put the impedance switch at. This microphone has a classic mid century, modern design and is quite handsome. Certainly a more aggressive design. There were a few Japanese manufacturers that made this style but the Calrad DM-16 is probably the best looking of those that were developed. It's about half the size of the Astatic 77A. The DM-16 had the unique high and low impedance switch where an on off switch would normally be. The switch works fine too. No issues. This will make a very fun mic to use in most situations. This microphone is probably the nicest example I have come across over the years. The chrome finish is free of any dents, scratches or pitting. The DM-16 has a perfect working joint mechanism with great tension to get just the angle needed. The two thumb screws work great and apply tension to the upper head of the mic. The Calrad badge looks brand new and completely legible. The cable for this mic is the smaller Amphenol type that is included. It's appx 20 feet long. Soft pliable and in perfect working order. No physical wear and has the standard male 1/4 inch end connection for use with most audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers. I would rate this microphone physically a solid 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. The mic also comes with a very nice black vinyl mic pouch in which to store the mic and cable. There is almost no wear at all and the zipper works perfectly. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.
