Picture #2 on this listing is from a 1955 Heywood Wakefield School Furniture Catalog that fully and best describes the features of this high school or college lecture hall chair. It features tubular steel construction, and 3/4 inch solid Birch seat, back and tablet arm. It's lasted 60+ years and is built to last many more. Overall dimensions are 26" from front to back x 20" wide x 32" High with the seat height being 18" from the ground. Seat is a tapered 16.5" x 16" and saddled. Ideally suited for high school and college classrooms. The best quality and super comfortable with the saddled seat. Condition is excellent vintage condition ... structurally perfect and nothing more than honest vintage wear in the form of marks, scuffs and minor nicks. As mentioned, at the time of listing I have 13 of these exact desks. All in similar condition ... with the exception being some have carvings from children into the wood (as they do). Nothing too bad, but if you were interested in a quantity, message me so I could send you actual pictures of the other chairs you would be receiving. These came from a Church that's had them for many years and were only used for Sunday School over a portion of those years.
