Vintage EXCELLENT NEW DOBBS Beaver Fifteen Brown Sz 7-1/8++ 7-1/4 Stetson

Description: Excellent Near Pristine! Vintage - very late 1950s to 1960s - DOBBS - Beaver Fifteen - Brown, size 7-1/8+++ to 7-1/4 Long Oval, see note below. This is a fraction under a perfect 7-1/4. The only thing was see is the liner has started to get that yellowish patina.So it says it’s a long oval and we added the actual measurements of the head hole, length and width but with the older vintage fedoras and because it’s new that it will easily conform to any head shape. After wearing this enough it will eventually revert to your head shape. These are unlike NEWER hats that are so stiff they will NOT conform to various head shapes, there is a big difference between New and Older Vintage hats!Really the only thing we could say is that the feather set is not perfect. The rest of the hat appears unworn. It must have been worn though, it’s just to beautiful! Perfect leather sweatband, NO MOTH BITES or Stains. Pictures tell the story about this great fedora! It is perfectly shaped! It’s a real looker! Dad and grandson needed to do very little work on this one, just a bit of cleaning and minor steaming to get the shape back to the original shape.This Beaver Fifteen is easily “Hand-Bashed”! That fedora shape we did in 2-3 seconds! It just so very soft and thick that it’s easily “Hand-Bashed”! Currently it is shaped as a Center Dent and pinched crown but if you wanted a shape steamed into a center dent only before we ship you MUST write to us!As you can see the leather sweatband is still in excellent condition, there is no wear to the top edge (hat reed) and the sewn joint is perfect! If this was worn it was only worn less than a handful of times and stored away.You can see that this is a very late 1950 -1960s DOBBS because there is a very very thin plastic overlay on the liner and the liner design and color. The liner cover is not the thicker plastic but one of the thinner ones.This is what Stetson call a Chocolate Brown color and the picture looking at the whole underside is the best representation of the color. Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?NOTE: the oval Dobbs box is in bad condition so Dad has replaced it with that 8 sided Worth Hats box. That box is still in great condition! Minor paper wear and it does have its hat holding insert set. If you DON’T want the hat box you must write to us and we will only charge $18.20 to ship the hat to you.NOTE Shipping outside the Continental USA is WITHOUT the hat box, it’s just to expensive to ship. If you DO a want the hat box you MUST write to us before buying the hat so we can adjust the dimensions and weight.This Beaver Fifteen is very very soft and thick. We took out dad’s collection of 1950 Stetson Beaver hat, 3X 10X, 15X, 20X and the Twentyfive and This best matches a Beaver Fifteen. This is a very nice high quality hat that could be an everyday hat. This is extremely soft and pliable and can easily steamed into any shape or style you desire.Just a OUTSTANDING classic fedora.NOTE: this was just edited to now include an option for a coat trolley string. The black one looks perfect with this fedora! This is NOT sewn onto the hat but could be by any decent tailor or the end can be trimmed off and used just as an adornment. It’s pretty easily done.Dad has a few different color newer 1960s Coat Trolley strings that are listed here on eBay. They make great additions to any hat for that extra bit of styling. Write to us if you’d like to buy one. The size is a fraction under a perfect 7-1/4. A perfect 7-1/8 is 22-3/8 inches and a perfect 7-1/4 is 22-3/4 inches. This is less than an 1/8 of an inch under a perfect 7-1/4. This is easily stretched to a perfect 7-1/4 by any inexpensive hat stretcher. Many of our buyers have written and tell us the Amazon $15 hat stretcher works perfectly.Dad s placing this one one f his hat stretchers, it can takes days to weeks to get a perfect stretch to remain in the hat’s leather sweatband.
