Description: You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item. This is a beautiful pattern for two styles of slipovers, one is with "faggot-stitch" ribbing (as seen in main picture), the other is in "eyelet" ribbing (as seen in the smaller image). Both have been designed to fit a 34 inch bust and knitted in a vintage 3-ply Botany Wool on appropriate needles (see below). You may want to try to knit either of these slipovers in a modern 4-ply as vintage wools were heavier than those today. But always work a tension square to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern. A lovely pattern to take on as a project.
