Description: PACKARD HOOD ORNAMENT LAMPS. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. 1930’s PACKARD HOOD ORNAMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE AS LAMPS BY SOME LONG AGO CRAFTSMAN. WE REWIRED AS THE ORIGINAL CLOTH COVERED WIRE WAS IN SAD SHAPE. THE SOCKET SWITCHES ARE ORIGINAL. THE PLUGS ARE OLD BUT REPLACED. THE WORK IS WELL DONE AND ALTHOUGH THEY SHOULD HAVE ADORNED A RADIATOR THEY ARE A JOY TO BEHOLD AS THEY ARE. THE MANNER IN WHICH THEY WERE BUILT HAS PRESERVED THE INTEGRITY OF THE PIECES AND IT IS NOT UNLIKELY THAT THEY MAY BE RESTORED AS FUNCTIONING CAPS. EARLY REPRODUCTION EDISON BULBS LOOK FINE. I DO NOT IMAGINE WE MIGHT SEE ANOTHER PAIR SUCH AS THESE AS THE CAPS THEMSELVES ARE MIGHTY EXPENSIVE AND RARE. THE PHOTOS SHOW PITTING AND ONE BAIL MISSING. THEY ARE UNIQUE AND MARVELOUS FOR THE PACKARD LOVER OR ANY CLASSIC CAR PERSON. IF YOU ADMIRE I HOPE YOU WILL SEE THE ARTISTRY AND VALUE THE MATERIAL AS I DO. I PRICED THEM REASONABLY, I DO HOPE THE BUYER RECOGNIZES THAT AND MAKES A MOVE.
