This is a wall hung, ratcheting + articulated arm, KATO MIRROR, a shaving mirror which can be posed as needed - similar to an OC White articulated wall lamp. This one in particularly nice condition, with both a very clear, functional mirror, AND very pretty plating. NOTE - I did not find a wall mounting bracket with this, so one is not included - you’ll need to supply one - a substantial, oil lamp bracket or a similar Victorian door hinge might work - it needs to be mounted with deep screws & care to a wall stud, as this is a fairly heavy piece, and because it will be cantilevered with the greater mass (the mirror) at the far end. All original with its original (working) tension spring (these springs are often missing)Mirror diameter is 8”.Three arm sections measurements - 5.5”, 7.5”, and 7” long, approximately - overall length of unit is about 18” to 21” depending how you tilt it or stretch it out to measure - please see photos with ruler. Folds down to less.Ratcheting via one squeeze lever with steel spring, at center section. Mirror position tightens via a hex nut on reverse.Thick, bevel-edged mirror.Fairly heavy for size - Weighs about 2.5 pounds before packing.Detailed, well-cast in brass with a matte nickel plating. Magnet tested. Connector pieces (ie.,hex nuts, washers and spring) are cast steel and do attract a magnet. SIZE ------- approximate size: diameter mirror, overall.Shown with an apple, for scale.
