very rare SISTER ROSETTA THARPE on tour live ORIG 1961 Verve PROMO TEST PRESS LP

Description: Super rare original Sister Rosetta Tharpe 1961 manufactured original promotional test pressings (two) that make up the Sister On Tour (Verve Records – V-3005) LP release !! Only a small number of these were likely ever made (usually about 5) and were generally disposed of after awhile in a time before these items were given their proper respect! This is quite likely the only one left of this 1961 Verve Records Mono test pressing, especially in light of the fact that much of the Verve Records archive of masters was destroyed in a massive fire. This is a two disc test pressing. Side A is on one disc, and Side B is on the other disc. One side of each disc is blank with a continuous groove with no sound pressed into it. Condition:The test pressing records play back with just mainly some light sporadic surface noise. But LP #2 (with the songs for Side 2 of the LP release) has a couple clicks on track #1 ("With His Great Love") These were obtained in just paper inner sleeves with writing on them indicating the artist, title and catalog numbers.
