Description: RARE Reynolds Model 56 "Aida" Herald Trumpet Built 1956Please read the entire description, and the AUCTION TERMS below, BEFORE bidding! Greetings! I offer this RARE Model 56 "Aida" B-flat HERALD TRUMPET marked "Reynolds / Made By Roth-Reynolds Int. Co. Cleve. O." on the bell, and "45830 / REYNOLDS / LB" on the 2nd valve casing. Serial number indicates production in 1957 according to published serial number lists. This is a high-quality instrument suitable for use at the horsetrack or for ceremonies where a high-class look is called for. Construction is yellow brass with nickel trim, with a copperplated receiver. CONDITION: Very good overall. Original lacquer finish shows about 5% wear, mostly chipping and small patches of loss on the valve section. There is a bellrim dent, with some loss of lacquer. Any decent tech could repair this dent easily. The valve pistons are in excellent condition with no plating loss, very little wear, and only very minimal blow-by. The instrument is sold AS-IS, AS-FOUND, with no warrantees. See pictures. WYSIWYG. PLAYING QUALITIES: It plays very well and I'd have no qualms about taking it on my track bugling gigs, as its a better horn than my Getzen 300. If it were mine, I'd keep it, but I'm selling it for the widow of a late friend. NOTE that I make no representations made about its suitability for your intended use.
